We were commissioned to undertake a full-scale home refurbishment in East Horsley, near Guildford, during the height of summer, transforming a previously dark and dysfunctional property into a bright, contemporary, and highly functional family home.
The client’s brief called for substantial internal alterations to improve layout, flow, and natural light throughout. One of the standout features of the renovation was the installation of expansive floor-to-ceiling sliding doors & windows, which flood the interiors with daylight and created a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living.
To enhance kerb appeal and functionality, we constructed a bold new front entrance, making a strong architectural statement. The existing garage was thoughtfully converted into a bespoke games room, significantly expanding the property’s usable space and adding lifestyle value.
Throughout the process, the client played a hands-on role in shaping the design, selecting finishes and fittings that reflect their personal taste and way of life. The kitchen and bathrooms, supplied by Norden Kitchens & Bathrooms, added a high-end, tailored feel to the spaces.
Over the 9-month build, we also transformed the home’s exterior. This included the installation of a durable new roofing system, modern monocouche rendering for a clean finish, and striking weather-resistant PermaChar® charred timber cladding to create a contrasting yet cohesive visual impact.
In addition to the building works, we carried out extensive landscaping to complement the renovation. This included the creation of two generous patio areas designed for entertaining and relaxing, as well as a newly laid driveway with integrated feature lighting installed by TN Electrical—boosting both functionality and kerb appeal.
The final result is a beautifully modernised, light-filled family home that harmoniously blends thoughtful architecture, everyday practicality, and personal style—delivering a timeless space designed for contemporary living.
