Facing the challenge of outgrowing their current residence and the complexities of relocation, our clients made the wise decision to enhance and expand their existing home.
The original layout presented limitations, particularly with a cramped and isolated kitchen area, unsuitable for a growing family’s needs. Our task was to reimagine the space to better suit contemporary living standards. We achieved this by extending the rear of the property and strategically removing internal walls.
The outcome is a breathtaking open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area, seamlessly integrating modern design elements. A vaulted ceiling in the rear extension, complemented by rooflights and floor-to-ceiling glazing, floods the space with natural light, creating an inviting ambiance. We also expanded the utility area, incorporating a dedicated boot space and a convenient shower room opposite.
Externally, the design maintains a simple yet elegant aesthetic, with brickwork seamlessly matching the existing structure. Delicate alternating brick detailing around the rear sliding doors and kitchen window adds subtle visual interest.
